Are there time slots for the exhibition?
No, the ALBERTINA Museum does not offer time slots. The exhibition can be visited any time during opening hours. Please note that only a limited number of visitors is admitted per exhibition venue and that you may have to wait, depending on the situation.
What are your current opening hours?
The museums are currently closed.
Where can I book public or private tours?
Here you can find a list of our currently scheduled public Modigliani tours, which can be booked via our online shop until three days before the tour is held. Last minute tickets can be bought on the day of the tour at one of the ticket desks. For private or school tours, please contact our Art Education Department on weekdays between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm at +43 1 534 83 540 or . Having booked a tour, you will be admitted to the exhibitions immediately, without any waiting time.
Where can I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets for our exhibtions directly at the ticket desks during museum hours and in our webshop. Online tickets are valid for an entire year from the date of purchase and can be used during this period on a day of your choice. Buying an online ticket can help avoid having to queue up, but it does not entitle you to access the exhibition via the fast lane. Should large numbers of visitors in an exhibition room make it necessary to wait outside, holders of online tickets will also be concerned.
Do I need to book a ticket in advance?
No, you can buy your ticket directly at the museum.
Do I need to buy a separate ticket for each exhibition?
No, the ticket is valid for all exhibitions on view at the museum on the day of your visit.
Is there a catalog?
Yes, there is a catalog. The catalog will be available at the museum as well as at the online shop from September 17th.
How many visitors are admitted to a group tour?
The maximum number is 15 participants (plus guide).
Are external guides allowed to give tours?
Yes, and the same rules apply for external groups: a maximum number of 15 participants per guide. We appreciate your bringing your own tour guide system for convenient volume control.
Do groups have to register?
No. If you wish to book a guided tour for a group, please contact us ().
Are there special cloakrooms for groups?
Yes, cloakrooms for groups are made available free of charge. It is not possible to make reservations, however—they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Ask for free capacities at the ticket desk.
May I bring my dog, umbrella, and/or baby carriage to the exhibition?
It is not permitted to bring dogs into the museum (except for service dogs, pertinent ID required). Umbrellas and wet outerwear have to be checked in the cloakroom. Baby carriages and strollers are allowed at our exhibition venues.
Tip: Quiet Times
To enjoy a relaxed visit, take advantage of hours when the museum is known to be less frequented: the early afternoons on weekdays or after 5:00 pm. On weekends and public holidays we also recommend visiting between 1:00 and 3:00 pm or in the evening.
