This edition combines sculpture, color, and conceptual art in the form of birdhouses that not only inspire as art objects but also provide actual habitat for birds. They combine art with functionality and open up a wonderful interface between aesthetic appeal and nature-oriented use. Made from birch plywood and painted with visible brushstrokes, each object is unique with its own signature style.
Four model types were developed for this edition—each color inspired by a specific bird species. The selection reflects the richness of color and diversity of nature:
