Programs for School Classes | Damien Hirst

Damien Hirst is one of the most famous artists of our time. However, less attention is paid to his drawings, which are now being shown for the first time in a separate exhibition. They provide insight into the creative process that precedes his world-famous works. In addition, selected major works are also on display—from animals preserved in formaldehyde to the monumental project Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable, which is staged like a spectacular archaeological discovery.
Hirst explores the big questions of life – transience, beauty, science, and faith. In this exhibition, we want to engage in conversation with the students: about art, ethics, nature, perception, and creativity.

The interactive highlight of the educational program is drawing with the Drawing Machine. Each student takes their own work home with them.

The school class program lasts 90 or 120 minutes, depending on your preference, and is offered for elementary school, middle school, and high school students.

Please note that the tour time also includes associated procedures, such as handing in the wardrobe together.

A portrait-format work that shows a multitude of circles. The circles get bigger and bigger and are painted in different colors: light to dark blue and a red circle made of colored pencil and paints. Lines run across the circles from the red circle to the outer sides of the sheet.
