Nursery & Preschool | Fire, Water, Earth, Light
For children ages 3–6
The Four Elements are especially popular, since they represent a thematic world to which all kinds of projects can be linked. This participatory tour at the ALBERTINA Museum approaches the Four Elements from an artistic standpoint. How to paint air? What colors do we see in fire? Our tour unites various types of physical movement with observational tasks and creative work. Sensory experience is front and center, here: the senses of sight, smell, hearing, and touch are addressed along with the joy of precise observation and verbal expression. And to top it all off, puzzles and games address the various manifestations and colors of fire, water, earth, and air.
The subsequent 30- or 60-minute studio workshop provides the opportunity to create a colorful depiction of the elements. Participants apply poster paint with brushes or stamps depending on their age.
